Indiana’s life expectancy falling further behind U.S.

Increasing mortality rates for working-age adults over the last two decades has translated to an overall decline in life expectancy. Indiana’s mortality rate for the population ages 25 to 54 was identical to the U.S. rate in 2001, but is now more than 20% higher than the nation.
