Rachel Strange (formerly Rachel Justis) has led the production of the Indiana Business Research Center’s communications and research tools since 2001. In her role as geodemographic analyst, she uses geographic information systems (GIS) technology as a way to help users throughout Indiana visualize complex information via maps and graphics.
Rachel is managing editor of the center’s print and web publications, which include InContext and the quarterly Indiana Business Review. In addition, Rachel has authored numerous analytical articles and also oversees the design of the center’s many websites.
Rachel holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and political science from Indiana University and a Master’s of Public Affairs from the IU School of Public and Environmental Affairs, with a dual concentration in policy analysis and economic development. She is a member of the Indiana Geographic Information Council.
